As of the end of April SARS-Cov-2 (which causes the disease known as Covid19 in humans) has been shown to have infected three pet cats, one pet dog, six tigers, three lions and three...

Testimonials

We have been taking our miniature schnauzer (Nugget) to William, Fran and their team since we had him as a pup 13 years ago. Over that time they attended to us with grace and skill and were an integral part in our beautiful journey of owning a pet. Today was the sad day we made the call to put him to sleep. With the counsel of the vet team, it made it more reassuring that Nugget was going to a better place. Thank you so much William, Fran and team for the wonderful support over the years.

Quality personalised veterinary care.

"We are so happy with these vets! They are fantastic! The vets and nurses are extremely knowledgable, friendly and caring. We love that they are happy to order toys and treats in especially for us. The prices are great and they go above and beyond to help us. We wouldn't take our furbabies anywhere else. We highly recommend them for all of your pet care needs". Katherine.

Denistone Veterinary Surgery opened in 1996 and aims to provide quality veterinary care for our clients' pets and compassionate care for our clients. We are located in a quiet location in Denistone West with easy parking. Our vets, William & Kim and nurses Frances, Lesley & Jess are all pet owners and know the challenges, joy and heartache that pets bring into our lives. We look forward to welcoming you and your precious four-legged family members to our practice.

Our team:

Kim Bowen - Veterinarian
Kim has worked at Denistone Veterinary Surgery for eleven years following an eight year stint working in the Hills district, Gladesville and the UK. She lives locally with her family, back yard destroying English Pointer and three cats.

William Jenkinson - Veterinarian
William took over Denistone Veterinary Surgery in 2000 after working for ten years in western Sydney and the Hills district. He has two lovely cats, one frequently unpleasant but occasionally loving cat and a needy, dinner table bothering English Cocker Spaniel.

Frances Stewart - Practice Administrator
Frances has kept the place running for the better part of two decades. She has more than thirty years of nursing experience and lives with an ever expanding array of rescued and rehomed dogs and cats.

Lesley Jenkinson - Veterinary Nurse
Lesley has worked with us for five years and is currently studying veterinary nursing after completing five years' study in human nutrition. She has an adorable rescue cat who appears to have forgotten his humble origins.

Jessica Borg - Veterinary Nurse
Jessica (Jess) has been with us for three years and last year completed her veterinary nursing studies. Jess has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who gives William's Cocker Spaniel a run for his money in the needy department.

Renae Greig - Veterinary Nurse
Renae is the most recent addition to our team and has been working with us since January 2020. Renae is currently studying veterinary nursing. She has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a Silky Terrier and a new feisty kitten which looks destined to rule the roost.
